Native Mac applications in Swift and SwiftUI — document tools, menu-bar companions, and desktop counterparts to iPhone products.

Teams that need a Mac tool often receive a wrapped website or an iPad layout. Neither uses the menu bar, the keyboard, or the file system the way a Mac user expects.

macOS application development at Weps Technologies is native Apple work: Swift, SwiftUI for new surfaces, and AppKit where an existing Mac pattern or a specific control requires it. A Mac product is not an iPad app left large. It has windows, menus, keyboard shortcuts, trackpad gestures, and often a document or a long-running companion role (menu bar, settings, local files). We use that model when the job belongs on a desk: drafting, reviewing media, running a local tool, or pairing with an iPhone application. Packaging follows Apple practice: sandboxing, notarization, and Mac App Store delivery when the product is distributed that way. Catalyst is an option only when an iPad app is already the right starting point — not as a shortcut around Mac design. Windows desktop development is not in this service. The Apple desktop is.

Do you also build Windows desktop applications?

No. Desktop work here is macOS. Phone, watch, TV, and web cover the other surfaces.

Can an iOS app become a Mac app?

Sometimes, with Catalyst or a shared Swift package. The Mac still needs menus, windows, and keyboard behaviour designed for the desk.
